Making and removing directories

To make a directory:

1. Write MD, space, and the name of the drive you want the directory to go to followed by a colon(E.X - a: or c:)
2. put the root symbol(\) after the colon
3. Then put any name for the directory that you want to create.

What is DOS?

Microsoft DOS is a command line user interface first introduced in 1989 for IBM computers and was last updated in 1994 when MS-DOS 6.22 was released. Although MS-DOS is not commonly used today, the command shell used through Microsoft Windows is. This page contains complete information about MS-DOS and the Windows command line.

DOS is mostly used by computer programmers and by companies. Usually not by your average person.

It has basically the same functions as windows, only difference is that windows is a more visually based system, while DOS is command based. DOS is a lot like the English language as well.
